The BEST thing was the staff. All were so friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff, restaurant staff, reception staff and shuttle drivers. Certainly they were a bonus to our stay at the hotel. However, I must single out 3 employees who were exceptional: Ariane, Giuseppe and Roman. Extremely helpful and very welcoming. The views from every room are amazing and the fact guests also have access to facilities (sauna, fitness, massages) at the nearbyHotel Raito is a big bonus.
Could be better
The noise from the road somewhat spoilt the experience on all the beautiful terraces. Any way that noise could be deflected? I would highly recommend much larger parasols which can pivot depending on the position of the sun - both on the private terraces and the one by the pool. Due to the orientation of the hotel, it can be unpleasantly hot most of the day. Finally, the shuttle service was totally inflexible. If you don't reserve it by breakfast time, you're often too late for the rest of the day/evening and are obliged to take a taxi - €20 for a 2 minute ride (x2) - or remain at the hotel. I would suggest if the mini bus is full and there are others waiting to use it, then, given it's such a short distance, the bus should return for the remaining hotel guests. After all, it is a 5-star hotel.
