
Jerónimos Monastery
A UNESCO-listed 16th-century monastery in Lisbon’s Belém district, built in the Manueline style. It is one of Portugal’s most important historic monuments and contains the tombs of notable figures such as Vasco da Gama.
A memorial on the bank of the Danube in Budapest honoring the Jews shot there during World War II. It consists of sixty pairs of iron shoes placed along the river embankment.
