Although the room was small it had everything we needed. The little balcony was a plus, the kitchenette had a microwave, some basic crockery, a sink, a fridge and a kettle. The plumbing was excellent! No smells, no loss of water pressure. The bathroom was small but it worked just fine. There was some noise through the walls but nothing to get annoyed about. The host, Katia, was excellent. She is extremely knowledgeable about Rome, how the transport works, how to access it all, and recommended good local restaurants. If you stay there and want to visit the Vatican, take the Trastevere train to St Pietro(2stops) and then walk along the Jasmine Walk to reach the walls of the Vatican. It's a quiet walkway, fragrant with Jasmine, and traffic free. The location of the guesthouse is really convenient, it is very close to Trastevere Station - for trains to the airport and into Rome. Trams and buses also converge at the station.
Could be better: The area looks a little scruffy, but we did not experience any problems , it's a neighbourhood for local Italians, it isn't touristy at all. You will meet them all at the coffee bar across the road when you go for breakfast. The pastries there are amazing.
